Berea Festival Dancers
Berea, KY / Madison
"The Berea Festival Dancers did a family program for us that was part demonstrations of their dancing, but most was them teaching the kids, teens, and adult audience members how to do the dances. They brought the audience up on stage with them and made it fun for all ages and abilities. The group performs dances from the Regency period, English Country Dances, Danish and Irish dances, English Ritual dances, Appalachian dances, as well as dances from the U.S. Antebellum period. We had them do their Appalachian dances, and they explained how they came from the region we live in. Jennifer Rose Escobar leads the group and she was wonderful to work with. highly recommend them, and we'll definitely have them at our library again." -Kinsey Hisle, Boyle County Public Library
Digeridoo Down Under
“This was a fun and educational program. There was Australian culture, music, teaching on tolerance, and more. Raihan was our performer and he did a great job. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and we were inspired to make our own didgeridoo for the summer reading program. Our crowd was young and a lot of the teaching went over their heads, but the music engaged them. I could see that the show was organized to alternate between listening and being active and Raihan handled the transitions very well. You can tell he is an experienced teacher. Everyone enjoyed meeting his pet Australian blue-tongued lizard! Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would recommend the show to others.” –Christy Terry, Johnson County Public Library
Drumming Works
Louisville, KY / Jefferson
"Joan Brannon is an amazing musician and performer. She brought approximately a dozen African drums with her to demonstrate in her program, and then taught about 2 dozen audience volunteers how to play them. She explained the drums' names, where they came from, how they were made, and how you play each one. Our kids were fascinated and were really engaged with her. Joan was really good at crowd control when they all started eagerly talking to answer her questions. The adults (including myself!) were also interested and enjoyed the program. I highly recommend her, and we'll have her come to our library again." -Kinsey Hisle, Boyle County Public Library

Miss Calliope
Northern Alabama
“Miss Calliope (pronounced KA-lee-oh-pee) delivers an incredibly engaging, interactive, and heart-centered performance that captivates children and adults alike. Her programs blend music, movement, science, and storytelling, and she is equally effective in an intimate setting like our Berea location as well as at our Richmond location, where she engaged a large audience. From the moment she arrives, she creates a welcoming atmosphere that encourages participation. Her original songs are catchy, meaningful, and rich in educational content, and audiences leave singing, dancing, and talking about what they learned after the show ends. When we surveyed our patrons, Miss Calliope was one of the top complimented programs of Summer 2025. What sets her apart is her genuine warmth and ability to create real connection. She is a joy to host and an absolute standout performer.” -David Payne, Madison County Public Library
Miss September
"We had Miss September for Dr. Seuss Day this year, she was a huge hit with the children and the parents! The children were younger, so she could change her show for their age group. She is so energetic and fun. I highly recommend her, and the fee was great to come to Greenup County. " -Vicki Hughes, Greenup County Public Library
Small Time Napoleon
"We have hosted this band several times over the years. They have played both outdoors and indoors, summer, fall and Christmas season, with an intended adult audience but are very entertaining for all ages. Their music is upbeat, draws from an eclectic style base, and often has a bit of humor. They have developed a loyal following in our neighborhood, and would draw a crowd." -Patricia Hersey, Carroll County Public Library
